VoIP Network Engineer

You will work from our comfortable offices located in West Reading, Pennsylvania and will be responsible for deploying, installing, configuring and managing and maintaining IP telephony voice communication architecture and its associated network connections and component hardware within companies. This includes assisting with all engineering projects for VoIP initiatives and configuring and optimizing all telephone systems and services, both internally and those integrated with Internet-based services. Also, you will maintain SLAs for all organizational IP telephony applications. These will include enterprise solution architecture. You may also be required to troubleshoot LAN and WAN hardware systems and respond to customer inquiries. This is an 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM position (some overtime required on occasion) with greater than 50% field work at customer locations.
VoIP Network Engineer Responsibilities:
- You will be installing network hardware modules including IP and PBX communication servers at customer locations
- You will be provisioning and programming phones and phone systems
- You will be troubleshooting VoIP network issues
- You will be adding network users and managing company permissions
- You will be optimizing network installations for future expansion
- You will be training staff on network and system protocols and procedures
- You will be supporting VoIP infrastructure and its associated software including IP-PBXs, Edgemarc, call management systems, voicemail and interactive voice response
- You will select, deploy and utilize appropriate tools for reporting and routing of IP telephony traffic on the network
- You will collaborate with systems engineers/architects for upgrades to operating systems, hardware, etc.
- You will remain current on new transport protocols, products and standards in support of VoIP systems development and equipment procurement
- You will meet with IT managers to determine the company's networking needs
- You will be analyzing existing VoIP networks and computer systems
- You will integrate IP telephony systems with enterprise LANs, WANs, wireless LANs and other Internet-based services and protocols
- You will collaborate with help desk to resolve trouble tickets and mitigate end-user issues with VoIP hardware and/or applications
- You will be assisting with the installation, planning and maintenance of network cabling, including MDF and IDF closets
- You will perform telephony audits as necessary
- You will monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for VoIP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telephony systems
- You will be collaborating with network engineers or administrators to ensure that VoIP traffic does not interfere with or hinder network data traffic
- You will need to obtain and maintain relevant technical certifications that could require off-hours time for study and preparation

Qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a similar field OR relevant experience
- Previous experience working as a VoIP field engineer

- In-depth knowledge of VoIP systems and IP protocols

NOC Engineer

You will be primarily responsible for our RMM tool and managing our managed services. Our goal is to assist our customers by achieving their business technology goals through engineering excellence and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Always ensure our RMM tool is configured according to best practices
- Configure and maintain alerts on critical client hardware and software
- Configure alerting and regular audits for patch management for client servers and workstations. Configure alerting and regular audits for firmware updates on client hardware
- Configure antivirus packages and their automatic deployment, updates, etc.
- Monitor and respond to critical alerts on client hardware and backup solutions
- Create PowerShell and RMM scripts for automating deployment, update and remediation tasks
- Set up and monitor various alerting and reporting for client hardware and software
- NOC Engineer will be involved in client onboarding, ensuring all devices are accounted for and all managed service offerings are in place and functioning as expected
- NOC Engineer must assist in maintaining customer network documentation
- Alert Service Coordinator and Triage Engineer as appropriate for escalation, emergency service and business opportunities
- Install backup and DR appliances as required

Qualifications

Project & Help Desk Engineer
The Project and Help Desk Engineer is an integral part of our Managed IT Services group. They are responsible for the installation, customization and support of document management solutions, business software and IT services offered by Watchkeep. Solutions will encompass Microsoft technologies and software including SharePoint and Microsoft Server/Office, as well as network support services. Data backup and remote network monitoring are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Installation of hardware and software products at customer locations
- Providing customer technical support for hardware and software products (incoming telephone calls to Global Support Center, e-mail questions/requests and on-site support)
- Testing new product releases to identify and correct problems prior to release
- Installation of server upgrades, releases and updates to existing customers
- Supporting and/or participating in product demonstrations and pre-sales meetings
- Assisting in the specs, preparation and presentation of proposals as required
- Tracking and recording personal billable and non-billable work on a timely basis accurately
- Participating in workshops, webinars and vendor shows to promote Managed IT Service offerings if needed

Responsibilities
- Apply relationship-building and appointment setting skills and knowledge as they relate to the sales of office equipment technology in order to achieve 100% of the assigned budget/quota.
- Prioritize and document prospects in a 30-60-90 day format and build a pipeline.
- Develop lists of qualified prospects that will be continuously updated.

Our Digital Workplace Specialist is responsible for working with customers to create and improve their digital workplace experience. The DWS will achieve their sales objective by developing relationships and partnering with customers to evaluate/assess both their technology requirements, communication and business goals to develop a comprehensive strategy to meet their short and long-term objectives. The DWS will work closely with the Practice Managers supporting Managed Services and UCaaS for presale support.
